Spanish Lake Elementary names Gabriella Helsper as Rookie Teacher of the Year

Spanish Lake Elementary (SLE) is proud to have Magna Cum Laude graduate from Florida International University, Gabriella Helsper as SLE’s Rookie Teacher of the Year and a finalist in the North Region.
She is married to Michael Helsper who is also a Miami Dade County teacher who shares his unconditional advice, love and support. She thanks her parents and her elementary school principal from Blessed Trinity Catholic School, principal Perez for encouraging her along the way and for giving her, her first teaching opportunity.
Helsper is SLE’s cheerleader, as she is always inspiring, laughing and creating such a positive learning environment for her first graders.
