Synergy Summer Institute offers teachers professional development

Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho and Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) administrators and teachers participated in the fourth annual Synergy Summer Institute which provided training for over 700 principals, assistant principals and teachers from throughout the school district. 

The Synergy Summer Institute took place in early July for three days of professional development at Miami Jackson Senior High. The leadership teams focused on instructional delivery for 21st century learners, digital fluency, applied data, strategic planning and school culture. All Miami Lakes area schools attended the event.
