Miami-Dade County Public Schools board chair Perla Tabares Hantman (center), is joined by Barbara Goleman High School principal Joaquin Hernandez and Goleman students, who along with other participating Miami-Dade teen drivers, took the national “No Texting While Driving” pledge recently. The event is part of Hantman’s long-standing safety campaign to bring awareness to the dangers of risky driving behaviors, including texting while driving.
