'The Spot' Youth Center schedules January events

Miami Lakes Youth Center will be hosting several fun and exciting programs for middle and high school students at “The Spot” during January at 6075 Miami Lakes Drive.
Wednesdays, January 9, 16, 23 and 30 - Open Hang Night from 6 to 8 p.m. The Youth Center is equipped with a billiard table, table tennis, indoor basketball shootout game, Microsoft Xbox One Console, Nintendo Wii, and more. Bring friends and hang out for a night full of fun and games.
Saturday, January 12 – Community Service Project: Feeding South Florida Field Trip. Volunteers will meet at the Youth Center at 1 p.m. The Town Moover will transport volunteers to Feeding South Florida until 5 p.m. and a snack will be provided.
Wednesday, January 23 – Elementary Open Hang - Arts and Crafts Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Parents are invited to bring their children, ages 5 to 10 years, to have a night of fun to play games and help create masterpieces on Arts and Crafts Night.
Saturday, January 26 - “Are Your Ready For College?” A workshop at 9:30 a.m. where the Youth Center and BRI-ABA Services LLC have partnered to provide this informative seminar where both parents and teens can learn if they are prepared to live on their own. The workshop will be helpful for teens in middle school through high school as well as teens and adults with special needs who may need help in acquiring essential independent living skills.
