Town of Miami Lakes announced its Chief of Operations, Antonio “Tony” Lopez, has been selected to be a part of Miami Fellows Class X.
The Miami Foundation’s 14-month signature leadership program identifies individuals who have made an impact on the community, are inspired by Greater Miami’s potential, and have the dedication to do more. During the program, Miami Fellow develop a deeper understanding of effective leadership while learning about civic issues and ways to solve them.
As Chief of Operations, Lopez is responsible for the implementation of all Town operational initiatives and policies and has provided the vision for major community development projects in parks, beautification, infrastructure and mobility.
His imperative is to work with communities to enable them to reach their full future potential by creating innovative environments and memorable experiences. His leadership has been instrumental in the development of creative solutions and public improvements for communities.
From nonprofit directors to journalists and community visionaries, the 16 new Fellows have been selected based on their inspiration by Greater Miami’s potential and have demonstrated a commitment to improve quality of life for everyone in the community.
