107 Taste brings Asian-fusion style dinning now on Main Street

For months many have wondered what the orange sign of “107 Taste” meant and when it was opening. On March 27 the restaurant made its soft opening followed by a ribbon cutting on April 24, joined by Mayor Manny Cid. Located at 6705 Main Street, 107 Taste brings a unique Asian-fusion style to The Town of Miami Lakes. There is nothing else like this around town.
Husband and wife owners Tingjun Lei and Yu Bi first came up with this concept in 2016 when they opened their first location near Florida International University (FIU). The name comes from their location by FIU which is on 107 Avenue. Asian-fusion is a mix of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Asian food. Bi is very creative and comes up with different twists on traditional food items.
The trendy and tasty food items are all made in house as well as homemade desserts. Some menu options can only be found at 107 Taste. Apart from their unique menu, 107 Taste is not just a regular restaurant where you eat and leave. They want guests to truly enjoy their time there and make it an experience. They hope people go in and order their food, enjoy it while just relaxing and hanging out. Their concept doesn’t include “fixed” menu times because they want guests to come in and truly enjoy themselves without feeling rushed.
Tingjun and Bi saw the need for a restaurant of this type in Miami Lakes. “I believe Miami Lakes needs better food, the people deserve better tasting food” explained Tingjun. This made Miami Lakes an ideal location for their next restaurant. They plan on opening another 107 Taste location in Plantation by the end of this year.
107 Taste will be open seven days a week, Monday - Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday noon to 11:00 p.m. and Sundays noon - 10:30 p.m. They will offer Ubereats as well as Postmates. For more information call (786) 558-8183 or visit 107taste.com.
