Voters in the 9th Annual Best of Miami Lakes 2025 poll chose some new businesses as their favorites, though a few previous winners stayed on the list, too.

BB’s Bakehouse, a two-year old café on Main Street, faced perhaps the toughest competition as there are so many places in town to get a caffeinated drink.

“This is our first win,” said Jorge Berrios, who owns the restaurant with his wife Monica Munoz and won Best Cup of Coffee. “It’s a hard one to get. We’re grateful.”

Chela’s Cocteleria won two awards: Best Happy Hour and Best Lunch Spot.

“I want to thank the voters for all the support,” said co-owner Carlos Padilla. “We have worked very hard to be able to accommodate everybody in the community. We’re happy that people are liking our place.”

The town’s Economic Development Committee celebrates small businesses with the awards and encourages residents to shop in town.

Past winners who also won this year include Chela’s; The Nail Garden for Best Beauty; Fashion House for Best Retail; Specialty Smiles Orthodontics for Best Health Provider and Cancun Grill, as Best Dinner Spot.

Latin American Grill won Best Breakfast Spot; Best Financial is JetStream Federal Credit Union; The Law Offices of Stephanie A. Cruz, P.A. is Best Legal, while the Reyes, Reves & Betancourt law firm won Best Real Estate.

Mayra Wedding & Things won the Best Other Professional Service category. Voters chose SWEAT440 for Best Fitness.
