A relaunched website can help people find places to get outdoors in Miami-Dade County.

The county’s Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department recently relaunched Park Finder. The interactive tool helps users find parks based on location, amenities and activities.

Users can access the mobile-friendly site at https://www.miamidade.gov/global/recreation/park-finder.page.

There are no county parks within Miami Lakes town limits, but at least 10 sit within several miles.

In all, website can direct users to the county’s more than 300 parks, nearly 200 miles of greenway trails, dozen dog parks, five campgrounds, almost 1,800 acres of protected pine rockland and more.

“Parks have an incredible ability to bring people together and create lifelong memories,” Christina White, Director of the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, said in a statement.

“With the relaunch of Park Finder, we’re making it easier than ever for residents and visitors to discover everything our parks have to offer. Whether you’re looking for a playground, a golf course, a place to launch your boat, attend a summer program, or simply spend time outdoors, there’s a place for you to explore.”
