Alonso back on MDC board

Roberto Alonso has been reappointed to the Miami Dade College District Board of Trustees.
Alonso, who also represents Miami Lakes as the Miami-Dade School Board’s District 4 member, was reappointed by Governor Ron DeSantis. He was first appointed in 2020.
Alonso joined the school board in 2022. He also serves on the of the Miami-Dade County Planning Advisory Board and as President of the Loch Lomond Homeowners Association; his previous public roles include Vice-Chair of the Town of Miami Lakes’ Charter Review Committee, Chair of the Town of Miami Lakes’ Public Safety Committee and President of the Royal Oaks Homeowners Association. He is one of the founders of Miami Lakes Cars for a Cure.
