Banners focus on mental health

    A series of banners that promote awareness of mental health were installed in March along Miami Lakes Drive.

    The messages were hung between Northwest 57th Avenue and Northwest 87th Avenue.

     The campaign is being sponsored by Humana and is a project of the Town of Miami Lakes and its Mental Health Task Force.

     Messages include “Mental Health Matters” and “Fight the Stigma.”

      The purpose is to encourage members of the community to reach out and be proactive about taking care of their mental health.
