The highly anticipated Mayor’s Cafe located at 15478 N.W. 77 Court in the Royal Oaks Shopping Center has announced its grand opening for April 1. The Cafe began with a soft opening for family and word quickly got out. With so many people hearing about it they decided to extend their soft opening from Monday - Friday for the time being. Starting April 1, the Cafe will be opening seven days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Mayor’s Cafe is a family friendly environment and that is exactly what the owners intended. Mayor Manny Cid, Miami Lakes Councilmember Jeffrey Rodriguez and Danny Delgado have all known each other for many years and partnering together was an easy choice, they wanted to keep this within the family.
Mayor’s Cafe is decorated with a comfortable home-style feel and with pictures of their families located in the Mayor’s Corner. Mayor’s Cafe wants to make every patron feel welcome and make their experience an enjoyable one.
Although there is a Mayor’s Cafe in Pembroke Pines, this one is completely different. The idea for Mayor’s Cafe first came in 2017 and has been in the works since then. The owners saw the need for a breakfast place in The Town of Miami Lakes because there is no other place like this around town. The location was an easy choice as it is essentially in the “middle” of Miami Lakes and has easy access to the highways nearby.
“What better way to bring a community together than to break bread” explained Cid. Their goal is to keep residents in Miami Lakes instead of having them travel to a breakfast destination.
Delgado came on board a few months ago as he and his wife brought many new ideas and energy to the table including design. The location was completely redesigned inside, with the addition of a brick wall with their logo which was hand painted by artists Chalk & Brush. Overall this has been a team effort on everyone’s part, the owners see each other equally and rely heavily on the help and support of their families. They like to see Mayor’s Cafe as an extension of their own family. “I value the people I am going into business with” said Delgado.
The owners are eager to help as soon as they walk in, they greet patrons and get behind the counter to serve drinks, take orders, anything it takes to help out. They consider themselves as a team and family with their employees. Mayor’s Cafe is unique and isn’t just another restaurant, they’re truly a family.
