The Town of Miami Lakes is going green!
Furthering its commitment to environmentally-friendly practices, and its motto “Growing Beautifully, many of the Town’s Building Department services, including the annual Business Tax Receipt (BTR) renewal process, can now be done entirely online.
An initiative introduced by Councilmember Frank Mingo, the Building Department has made it easier than ever for both residents and businesses to access several online services to find information about permits, projects, violations, search properties, and pay fees.
Online users can do everything from scheduling an inspection to checking the status of a permit, and even search for contractors who are licensed and in good standing with the Town. Accessing the information is simple: Visit the Town’s website www.miamilakes-fl.gov, and go to the “Online Services” tab.
The BTR renewal notices will be sent out electronically on July 11. Visit www.miamilakes-fl.gov, and check out the video tutorial with quick and easy steps for business owners to make their annual BTR payment online.
