Coast Guard Auxiliary offers boat safety courses in M. Lakes

Town of Miami Lakes has partnered again with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary to offer boating safety classes for residents.
The classes are taught by experienced instructors who are committed to the highest standards of the U.S. Coast Guard.

The class is $25 per person and includes a free manual. The courses will cover the following topics: 

• Know your boat before you get underway
• Navigating the waterways
• Operating your vessel safely
• Boating emergencies and what to do
• Enjoying water sports with your boat.
Summer courses will be held at the Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue on Saturdays, August 26 and October 21, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
