     April 1 - 15 The Miami Lakes Veterans Committee is seeking candidates for Military Tribute banners. Nominate an active duty service member, reservist, veteran or retiree from any branch of the military whose photo and career information will be flown on a banner hung along Miami Lakes Drive between Northwest 67th Avenue and the Palmetto Expressway.  Fill out the form at https://bit.ly/3CGPIge

      April 1 - 29. Graduate Banners. Class of 2022 seniors can have a banner with their photos placed along Miami Lakes Drive between NW 57 Ave. to NW 67 Ave., continuing after the Palmetto Expressway to NW 87 Ave.   The banner project is open to Miami Lakes residents and will be on display for three months.      April 23. Arts for Autism Program Fair presented in part by the Special Needs Advisory Board. Enjoy dancing, raffle prizes and family fun at this free event. Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 NW 82 Ave. 11 a.m. Free. Register at www.spectrumdancetherapy.com

     The Main Street Players Children's Theatre Workshop is accepting registration for summer school courses to be held June 13 - July 1 or July 11 - July 29.  Classes are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the theater’s new home, 6812 Main St. Students will learn techniques for acting, auditioning, technical elements and the playwriting process.  The instructor is Brandon Urrutia, a workshop graduate and Miami-Dade County middle school teacher.  Each three-week session costs $650.  To sign up and for more information go to www.mainstreetplayers.com.
