The Miami Lakes Town Council recognized DebonAir Mechanical with a proclamation during its Nov. 18 meeting.

The business, at 13972 NW 60th Ave., specializes in air conditioning; refrigeration; heating; HVAC installation, service and repair for commercial and residential clients. Mayor Josh Dieguez said it is a firm the town could be very proud of.

“It’s the family nature of the company,” Dieguez said. He and the council recently visited the facility and met with the employees. “And not that it’s just family run, it’s the fact that speaking to employees, they felt like they were family.”

He declared Nov. 25, 2025 a day for Charles Aleshire, founder of DebonAir Mechanical who was 72 when he died on Oct. 23. Frank Sanabrina, director of business development operations and Blanca Peña, the company’s human resources manager, accepted the proclamation.

“On behalf of the family, our staff throughout the state of Florida, this is an amazing gift…it’s a nice touch to honor his name and his legacy,” Sanabrina said.
