Create online registrations for Winter Youth classes on Jan. 8

Residents interested in registering their child or children to participate in the Town of Miami Lakes Archery, Golf, Pre-Teen Fitness, and Start Smart Soccer programs are encouraged to create an online registration account by visiting www.miamilakes-fl.gov/parkres.

Online registration for winter classes will take place at 5 p.m. on Monday, January 8.

Archery: The Youth Archery program is a 6-week program available for children 7-15 years of age.

Hook A Kid On Golf: A 6-week program developed by the National Alliance for Youth Sports designed to introduce the basics of golf, while teaching the etiquette of the game to children between 7-12 years old.

Start Smart Soccer: Created by the National Alliance for Youth Sports, the Start Smart Soccer program is designed to help children, between the ages of 3 to 5 years old, prepare for organized soccer by using safe and fun equipment while developing motor skills.

Pre-Teen Fitness: A 6-week program aimed at combating childhood obesity while instilling healthy and active lifestyle habits. Available for children ages 10-14, the program includes on-field activities such as jumping drills, obstacle courses, and plyometrics to enhance speed and agility to ensure a solid foundation for physical activity.

Registrations for Bricks for Kidz, Guitar and Violin lessons, Code Explorers and Keyboard, can be done through the Town’s outside providers.
