Andrea Agha, who began her career with the Town of Miami Lakes in 2010, and has served as the Deputy Town Manager since 2014, has accepted the position of Village Manager for the Village of Key Biscayne.

In an email to Town Manager Alex Rey, Agha said, “I am deeply appreciative of the support and warmth I have received from the Miami Lakes Town Council, staff and community. Miami Lakes has been instrumental in developing my knowledge, skills, and abilities to be an effective municipal administrator.”

Agha’s resignation is effective July 6.

During her Miami Lakes career, Agha implemented the Town’s permitting, financial and Geographic Information Systems, served as chair of the Town’s Brand Steering Committee which established the tag line “Growing Beautifully,” and developed the Lien Amnesty Program.

Among other achievements, Agha was responsible for the implementation of the Town’s 2025 Strategic Plan with 63 percent of the initiatives completed or underway.

“Andrea Agha has a great career in front of her and she will do great things in Key Biscayne. They are very lucky to have her,” said Rey.

At a farewell reception at Anacapri, joined by family, colleagues, and town residents, Mayor Manny Cid presented Agha with a Proclamation declaring July 6, 2018, as Andrea Agha Day in the Town of Miami Lakes.

“The Town Council and I commend Andrea Agha for her outstanding skills, work, and initiatives and exceptional commitment to the Town of Miami Lakes while serving our community,” Cid said.
