Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Doral, spoke at the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce luncheon held Sept. 8 at Shula’s Hotel and Golf Club in Miami Lakes.
The U.S. Representative for District 25 is serving his 10th term.
Diaz-Balart, 59, said he is not giving up on getting a unique Zip Code for the Town of Miami Lakes.
He also criticized the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion budget proposal, but said he was optimistic that there could eventually be a bipartisan version of the legislation.
“I think the best days of our country are ahead,” Diaz-Balart said.
The next Chamber luncheon is scheduled for Oct. 13, and a Business Expo is being planned for November.
