  Early voting for the Presidential Preference Primary Election will be held at the Mary Collins Community Center in Miami Lakes from March 2 - March 15.
     The center, at 15151 NW 82nd Ave. will be open to those voting early on the following schedule:
March 2 – 6, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. March 7 – 8, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. March 9 – 13, 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. March 14-15, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
     Presidential Preference Primary Election Day is March 17, when the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
     Florida is a “closed primary” state; citizens must be registered with either the 
Democratic or Republican party to vote during the primary.
     The deadline to register to vote or update party affiliation was Feb. 18.

     To accommodate early voting, programs that are regularly held in rooms 1 and 2 at the community center will be relocated Feb. 25 - March 18 to the Roberto Alonso 
Community Center, 16500 NW 87th Ave. (see page 15).
