During the April 3 Town Council meeting, Economic Development Committee chairman Michael Huffaker, and Miami Lakes Food and Wine Festival coordinator Lynn Matos, presented a check in the amount of $18,913.40 to the Miami Lakes Town Foundation Board representing proceeds from the recent festival held at Miami Lakes Optimist Park.
Huffaker and Matos joined the Mayor and Councilmembers in honoring event sponsors, in-kind sponsors, restaurant participants and wine vendors, including:
