Food giveaway Friday at Royal Oaks Park

The Miami-Dade County Commission will distribute food provided by Farm Share on Friday at Royal Oaks Park.
Sponsored by District 13 Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr. and Miami Lakes Mayor Manny Cid and the town council, the food will be given out beginning at 10 a.m.
Town Manager Edward Pidermann warned drivers during a Facebook video Wednesday that police will not allow cars to line up before dawn near the park, at 16500 NW 87 Ave.
Previous giveaways of food and groceries across the country have drawn long lines of cars. Unemployment claims have reached 22 million since the coronavirus outbreak began in March.
