Hunger relief event Friday at Royal Oaks Park
Wednesday, May 6, 2020
A drive-thru distribution of food by the Town of Miami Lakes and Feeding South Florida is scheduled Friday at
Royal Oaks Park in Miami Lakes.
Cars should line up along Northwest 87 Avenue from the park entrance at Northwest 165 Street.
The relief effort will begin at 10 a.m. and last until noon or for as long as supplies last.
Drivers who enter the park should remain in their cars with windows up and trunks popped. Volunteers will place the goods in trunks.
Two previous hunger relief efforts at the park have drawn 700 cars.
For those who cannot get to a drive-thru, go to feedingsouthflorida.org/covid19, scroll down to find the agency locator button, and enter your ZIP code to find a food pantry near you.
