Hurricane preparedness time is now in event of a major storm

In preparation for the hurricane season. It is important to stay alert and informed of any severe weather possibilities and be prepared long before and immediately preceding a storm.
The Miami-Dade 2019 Official Hurricane Readiness Guide can be found at www.miamidade.gov/hurricane/library/guide-to-hurricane-readiness.pdf. The guide provides tips on what to do before a storm and after a storm and provides a useful Disaster Checklist.
Residents who require evacuation assistance should register for the Emergency & Evacuation Assistance Program (EEAP) now to ensure help will be given following an evacuation order. Assistance may also be provided after an emergency. Pre-registered residents in the EEAP will receive priority.
