Longtime Miami Lakes resident Alvin L. West, CFO and Senior Vice President of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, has earned the prestigious designation of Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) from the worldwide Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI).
DMAI promotes and advances the success of Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) worldwide.
West is one of only 400 professionals from 16 countries to receive the CDME designation during the 22-year life of the DMAI. He was awarded the designation on August 3 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As the world’s largest and most reliable resource for DMOs, DMAI provides nearly 4,000 individual members the most innovative educational resources and marketing intelligence worldwide.
West is also a longtime member of the Miami Lakes Congregational Church.
