Following the Bike305 Bike to Work Day and riding from Miami Lakes to Hialeah the morning of March 9, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava spoke at the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon.
“It was a great privilege and pleasure,” Levine Cava said about touring through the town, and she thanked officials for hosting the event.
In her remarks before about 90 people at the Miami Lakes Hotel on Main, Miami-Dade’s first female mayor focused on the importance of small business and growing commerce.
“We know this is the backbone of our economy here in Miami-Dade County,” Levine Cava said.
Levine Cava promoted Strive305, which has many free programs to help small companies grow and get access to capital.
She said her administration supports business.
“We want you to be part of the network, [to know] that we support you, to grow your business, to grow the economy and for the cities,” Levine Cava said.
