Miami Lakes Police Officer Luis Garcia was honored as “Officer of the Quarter” by the Town Council and Police Major George Perez at the May 2 Council meeting for his outstanding dedication to protect and serve the Miami Lakes community.
Garcia was assigned to the Town in July 2016 after being hired by the Miami-Dade County Police Department in 2013. During the first quarter of 2017, Garcia’s performance has been outstanding. Serving as acting Sergeant, he has demonstrated excellent judgment and leadership. He maintains an excellent working relationship with his coworkers, supervisors, and patrol officers from the surrounding areas.
