A Candidate Forum for the November 8 general election will be held at noon on Tuesday, October 11, at Town Hall, 6601 Main Street, in Miami Lakes.
The Town has been hosting candidate forums for the past two elections with the Good Government Initiative (which is no longer active). Merrett R. Stierheim, a former interim Miami Lakes Town Manager, will serve as this year’s moderator in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of Miami-Dade County.
The Forum will be held in the Council Chambers beginning at noon with the Mayor Debate, followed by a debate between the candidates running for Councilmember Seats 1, 3 and 5.
Members of the public wishing to submit questions for the Candidate Forum may do so by emailing 2016candidateforum@miamilakes-fl.gov.
As a public information service, the Town will webcast the forum live and the video will be available for viewing later at www.miamilakes-fl.gov/meetings under the “Specialty” tab.
