The Miami Lakes Bar Association inducted new leaders March 18 at Miami Lakes Town Hall.
Attorney Trinette Zarran was sworn in as the new president of the association and was joined by fellow lawyers as well Fla. Rep. Tom Fabricio, R-Miramar.
Outgoing president Joshua Hertz received the Service Award of Excellence for his work as president. Former executive members were recognized with plaques, too. Recipients of the service award include incoming President Trinette Zarran; past President Melissa Caballero-Alton; former Vice President and President-Elect Nayib Hassan; Treasurer Nexcy de la Rosa and Secretary Stephanie Cruz.
Past directors of the association, Marc Ginsberg and Leslie Langbein, received certificates of merit and proclamations. Certificates of merit were also given to Mirelis Castilla; Miami Lakes Assistant Town Attorney Lorenzo Cobiella; Miami Lakes Town Councilman and attorney Joshua Dieguez; Adry Polo; Elizabeth Quesada; Mayleidys Porraspita and Student Director Suzette Cruz. This year’s event was held in person and brought the association together to celebrate, following a scaled down ceremony in 2021. The bar association works to promote awareness of the law, respect for the legal profession and as a way for members to build relationships.
