Mosquito site inspections and Zika information available

Community Thursday, September 1, 2016

Town of Miami Lakes is urging residents to contact Miami-Dade County via the 311 system to request a site inspection should they experience a mosquito nuisance. Site inspections on residential properties are often made to find the source of the mosquito annoyance.

The Miami-Dade County Office of Emergency Management is also requesting that all businesses that have been impacted by the Zika Virus (i.e. lost revenue, business interruption) fill out an online survey at http://owl.li/tPc4303i3jR. The survey will allow the county  to determine the economic impact and seek available assistance from the State and Federal governments.
Further, the Florida Department of Health is providing free Zika prevention kits and testing for pregnant women. Contact 305-324-2400 for more information.
