The Elderly Affairs Committee is accepting applications until Aug. 1 for contestants in the Mr. and Ms. Senior Miami Lakes Contest, to be held Aug. 26 at the Miami Lakes Hotel on Main.
Competitors must be 60+, live in town and during the contest, must briefly describe for judges their philosophy of life, and for nearly three minutes display a talent such as singing, dancing, comedy or play an instrument.
Contestants must dress in evening wear. Friends and families may cheer on the performers.
