Miami Lakes Neighborhood Improvement Committee (NIC) will hosts a Community Forum at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 6601 Main Street.

A presentation of the Town’ Strategic Plan will be offered by assistant Town Manager Andrea Agha. The plan includes strategies the Town is pursuing to increase mobility as well as economic development through the enhancement of community hugs and activity centers for all ages.

The strategic plan also places emphasis on augmenting the Town’s signature beauty and park landscapes while striving to achieve environmental sustainability.

Agha will also explain how the Town will work toward national recognition as a “model Town” for creativity, innovation, and use of technology.

The mission of the NIC is to recommend, promote, and create projects and activities that will beautify and improve all neighborhoods in a collaborative and comprehensive manner.
