The Optimist Club of Miami Lakes is nearing final days for kids to register to play T-ball, baseball, softball and flag football this fall.
Demand is high and Miami Lakes Optimist Club President Chris McCall is encouraging parents to enroll their children as soon as possible.
Opening night is Sept. 22, 6:30 p.m. at Optimist Park, 6411 NW 162nd St.
Baseball, Softball and T-ball: $190 fee.
Boys and Girls ages 4 – 14.
Aug. 19, Sign up online or in person at Optimist Park, 9 a.m. – noon, to ask questions and try on uniforms.
Mandatory Evaluations 8U, Aug. 21, 6:30 p.m.; 10U, Aug. 22, 6:30 p.m.; 12U, Aug. 23, 6:30 p.m., 14U, Aug. 23, 8 p.m. No Evaluations for T-Ball.
NFL Youth Flag Football
$130 for residents of Miami Lakes and unincorporated Miami-Dade County, $150 for non-residents. Boys and Girls Ages 5 – 17. Register online through Aug. 31 at www.MLOFlag.com.
Sept. 9, Mandatory skills clinic at Optimist Park Clubhouse, 9 a.m.
Every child who registers will be placed on a flag football team, McCall said.
