Penelas campaign, partners donate grooming and goodies to police, firefighters

Alex Penelas’ campaign for mayor of Miami-Dade County partnered with Ricky Patel of The Spot Barbershop and Gerardo’s Marketplace to donate lifetime discount cards and meals for up to 200 Miami-Dade County police and firefighters who serve in Miami Lakes. Miami Lakes Councilmembers Marilyn Ruano and Joshua Dieguez joined the event on May 11 that was held to thank first responders for their service, according to the campaign, which provided the photo.
