Recycle your Christmas tree

Miami-Dade County will accept undecorated Christmas trees for recycling at one of 12 Trash and Recycling centers or the Home Chemical Collection Center in Doral. 

The Doral facility is at 8801 NW 58th St., open Wed. - Sun., 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The Palm Springs North Trash and Recycling Center is at 7870 NW 178th St. It’s open daily from 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

There will also be curbside pickup. Trees collected on curbs will not be mulched. The sweep happens from Jan. 21 - Feb. 1, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.  Trees should be placed on curbs by Jan. 21.  

Residents may also schedule a bulky waste pickup by calling 311 to have a tree removed.

Residents who want free mulch must show proof of residency during the spring at one of the Trash and Recycling Centers.
