Florida State Representative Manny Diaz Jr., in conjunction with the Florida Hispanic Foundation, awarded four scholarships to local high school students in the Miami Lakes, Hialeah and Hialeah Gardens communities.
Kiahra Martinez from Barbara Goleman High School, Michelle Rodriguez from Hialeah Gardens High School, Luis Miguel Rodriguez from Mater Academy and Claudia Marrero from Mater Lakes High School, were the recipients of the Florida Hispanic Foundation Scholarship which recognizes outstanding Hispanic high school students who have achieved outstanding academic leadership and good community service skills.
Diaz invited the students and their families to his district office to personally congratulate them for their achievements.
