Tax Collector coming to Royal Oaks Park on March 17

The Office of Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez will bring the TConnect bus to Miami Lakes on March 17, at Royal Oaks Park.

Services offered by the mobile tax collector office include:

-- Driver’s license renewals, replacement or reinstatement;

--New identification card or renewal;

--Car registration renewal;

--Adding or removing the organ donor identifier or other restrictions on licenses, and

--Handicap permit renewal or application.

Residents renewing a Real ID -- a driver’s license or identification card with a gold star -- simply need to bring the old card. If changing an address, bring bills or letters with proof of the new address.

Those applying for a new license in the state or county will need to bring a passport or passport card; an original U.S. birth certificate or naturalization papers, Social Security card as well as proof of address, such as a bill or letter addressed to the new address.

U.S. permanent residents will need their I-551 resident card, Social Security card and their proof of address, according to the Tax Collector’s office.

The TConnect bus will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 17 at Royal Oaks Park, 16500 NW 87 Ave. Walk-ins are welcome.
