Elected officials and business boosters welcome a new restaurant in downtown Miami Lakes with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 30. La Cumbancha, a Cuban fusion dining spot that presents musicians and a singer too, is at 6743 Main St. Co-owner Julio Cabrera, shown at center with the scissors, is an award-winning mixologist and founder/co-owner of Cafe La Trova in Miami.

Also at the party were members of the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce and the town’s Economic Development Committee.
