Miami-Dade County Commission Chairman Esteban Bovo Jr. recently reappointed Miami Lakes resident Ryan Campos to the Miami-Dade Youth Commission.
Campos, a student at Barbara Goleman Senior High, previously served on the Miami Lakes Youth Activities Task Force and the Town Council recognized him for his community service.
“This morning, I reappointed Ryan Campos to serve as the Youth Commissioner for District 13 on the Miami-Dade Youth Commission,” Bovo said during a County Commission meeting. “It is refreshing to see young people like Ryan be active in our county.”
Campos is the grandson of the late Sergio Campos, who was a longtime president of the Loch Ness Homeowners Association.
Appointed to the Youth Commission for the first time were Hialeah Miami Lakes High student Mia Chambers and Barbara Goleman student Steven Kelly.
