Senior Spring Social at Roberto Alonso Community Center

      Over 100 seniors gathered at the Roberto Alonso Community Center to celebrate spring. The Elderly Affairs Committee invited the over 60 crowd to enjoy lunch by Chef Ramoncito, who prepared paella and fried plantains. Following lunch, the seniors danced to a mix by DJ Dennis of American Top 40 hits from the 1970s and 1980s and Latin music, including songs by Celia Cruz.

     Vice Mayor Bryan Morera and Councilman Juan Carlos Fernandez visited the two-hour party.

     The next event will be a Senior Bingo Lunch at 10:30 a.m. on May 14 at the Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 NW 87th Ave. Those planning to attend must pre-register at Toml.Eventbrite.com.
