Special Needs Advisory Board hosts Game Night

      From playing the Super Smash Bros. video game to meeting with life-sized Star Wars characters, kids got to enjoy the inaugural Sensory Game Night presented by the Miami Lakes Special Needs Advisory Board at the Roberto Alonso Community Center on May 15.

     About 120 participants attended the gathering, according to Special Needs Advisory Board Secretary Ethan Rivero. The game night was created for the special needs community and featured activities that did not overstimulate players.

     South Florida ABA Early Intervention Centers provided behavioral therapy support. Kids got to not only play video games, laser tag and board games but also received supplies to paint, play vintage arcade games and enjoy ice cream.
