Teen volunteers for Feeding South Florida

Miami Lakes Youth Center Council is inviting Miami Lakes teens to participate in the Feeding South Florida Community Service Project for a great chance to earn community service hours on Saturday, February 17, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2501 S.W. 34 Terrace in Pembroke Park.

Volunteers will meet at the Youth Center, 6075 Miami Lakes Drive, at 7 a.m. The Town Moover will transport volunteers to Feeding South Florida until 1 p.m.; lunch is provided.

Feeding America is the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief organization, comprised of 200 food banks throughout the United States. Feeding South Florida is the sole Feeding America food bank serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. It is also the leading domestic hunger-relief organization in South Florida, serving 25 percent of Florida’s food insecure population.
