Community Monday, July 21, 2014

Town of Miami Lakes announced the arrival of a new GPS tracking system for the free bus system called the Miami Lakes Moover.

The new GPS system will make ridership easier by allowing residents to view the location and arrival information of both the East and West routes of the Miami Lakes Moover in real time during the morning circulation from 6 to 10 a.m., and the afternoon circulation from 2:15 to 7 p.m.

Riders will no longer have to wait at the bus stop but simply check the status of the bus on their phones. The new system includes online tracking mobile tracking with smartphone apps for iPhones and Android phones, and texting and calling features for up-to-date information.

“As we continue improving on our traffic issues, this bus tracker will encourage more of our residents to leave their cars at home and use our new buses,” said Councilmember Nelson Rodriguez.

Detailed route and arrival information is available at www.tracker.MLMoover.com. Residents can also call 305-771-0690 and enter their stop number, or text “Mover stop#) (example: Mover 101) to 41411 for detailed arrival information. The system also provides stop location information to assist riders in using the Moover.
