Town committees post April events

Several Miami Lakes citizens’ committees will be hosting several events during the rest of April.
Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee has scheduled Lunch Bunch and Bingo on Wednesday, April 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mary Collins Community Center. Seniors can socialize and make new friends while having fun and enjoying a free nutritious lunch.

Miami Lakes Veterans Committee will host an annual Tree Planting sponsored by Miami Lakes Auto Mall during an Arbor Day ceremony. The ceremony will be dedicated to the late, longtime Miami Lakes Optimist Club member and inaugural Sports Hall of Fame inductee Jack McCall. The free event will be from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 26, at Royal Oaks Park, 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue.
