Town council elects Morera to second term as vice mayor

    Bryan Morera will serve a second, one-year term as vice mayor, chosen by the town council during the Nov. 18 municipal meeting. 

    If the mayor is absent or unable to serve, the vice mayor has all the powers, authority, duties and responsibilities of the mayor, per the town charter. 

     The vote was six to one, with Councilman Ray Garcia voting for himself.

     Morera did not address the public. He thanked the council for choosing him. 

     During his first term as vice mayor, Morera has led council meetings when Mayor Josh Dieguez is away from the dais. He regularly appears at town events.
