Miami Lakes lawmakers awarded Our Lady of the Lakes sixth-grade student Ellica Quintero for her work on the incredibly successful Ice Cream Social during last month’s council meeting. She was also appointed to serve on the town’s Youth’s Activities Task Force, becoming the youngest member on the committee since its inception in 2001.
