Miami Lakes K-8 Center student Sofia Palomino left her mark on literature, as she won the Miami-Dade Public Library’s bookmark design contest for the 9-12 year-old category, and her bookmark will be distributed at all the county-wide libraries. Palomino, 11, was honored at the January Miami Lakes Town Council meeting for her winning design, which will also be featured on the library’s website.
