Town hosts two contests for photos and home beautification projects

In conjunction with the “I Heart Miami Lakes” campaign, the Town of Miami Lakes is holding two contests to promote civic pride.
Round 4 in the “Capture a Miami Lakes Moment” photo contest is one of the featured contests.
Residents are encouraged to show their love for Miami Lakes by taking photos of their favorite place of thing to do in the Town. The winning photographers will be recognized by the Town Council in September and top entry photos will be displayed on the Town’s website.

The contest’s official rules include:
• Photo must be taken within Town boundaries.
• Photos of landscape, buildings, parks and scenery are recommended.
• Photos must be in JPEG format, 300 DPI )dots per inch) and no smaller than 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels high.
The Neighborhood Improvement Committee is inviting residents to participate in the 2019 Home Beautification Contest which recognizes residents who take special pride in improving their homes and landscaping.
The winner will be awarded with a $1,000 Home Depot gift card and a commemorative yard sign.
