Miami Lakes parents are reminded it’s time to register their children for the Town’s youth archery and golf programs.

Hook a Kid on Golf:

A six-week program introduced by the National Alliance for Youth Sports that aims at introducing the basics of golf, while teaching the etiquette of the game to children between the ages of 7-12 years old. Takes place every Wednesday starting in February from 4 to 5 p.m. at Shula’s Golf Club.

Archery:

The program is available for children 7 to 15 years old. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m., followed by archery for adults, 16 years and older, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Optimist Park.

Equipment is provided for both programs and a $20 registration fee is required. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Register by visiting www.miamilakes-fl.gov/parkres.
