Town of Miami Lakes releases annual financial report

    The Town of Miami Lakes said it successfully completed its annual financial audit for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2021.

     The audit by a licensed independent certified public accounting firm is required per state statute, the town said.

     Garcia, Espinosa, Miyares, Rodriguez, Trueba & Co., LLC conducted it this year.

     The town has submitted the 2021 audit to the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States, which for the past nine years has awarded its certificate for achievement for excellence in financial reporting to the town.  The award is given to municipalities that create reports that are transparent and provide full disclosure.
