Saris Cycling Group celebrated National Bike Month in May 2017 by introducing a contest featuring $800 worth of bike parking facilities. Interested participants wee encouraged to post a picture of the space where the bike racks could be installed and a brief description of the community.
The Town of Miami Lakes was selected among the winners and the new bike racks were installed at Royal Oaks Park. The Saris Bike Parking Giveaway positively impacted the Town by providing affordable, safe, convenient, and centrally located bike parking facilities in one of the Town’s main parks.
The racks will serve children and adults who currently park their bikes along the courts or fields. The racks complement the Town’s SPIN bike-sharing program and provide the much-needed bicycle docking facilities for Royal Oaks Park.
